Pasta your way at Dal Moro's
Location: Square One Food District
TDI DATE VERDICT: Casual eats, post-shopping food
For any carb lover, the concept of fresh, made-in-house pasta, done completely your way, and ready in less than 10 minutes sounds like a dream! Dal Moro’s Fresh Pasta To Go serves up thousands of combinations of pasta and you can choose the type of pasta, the sauces, the toppings, and the dressings.
Doesn’t matter whether you want to load your spaghetti up with all the protein, or have the creamiest fettuccine Alfredo ever, you can make it completely your way.
If you can do it with pizza, and burgers, and sandwiches, why not do it with pasta!
Tucked into the new Square One Food District, that already has such amazing options, is the cute space to make all your pasta dreams come true.
I think it’s genius having this in a mall because after intense shopping at Square One, or even in the middle of it we won’t judge, I know I need an energy pick-me-up. The elevated space exceeds a mall food court and sitting in Dal Moro’s makes you feel like you’re away from the hustle and bustle of a mall.
When I visited with my family, we tried to get three things on pretty different ends of the pasta spectrum to show off. Making decisions is not my strongest suit but we were so impressed with our creations!
The first creation being a classic fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and tons of Parmesan. It was so creamy and the perfect mixture. This has been my favourite pasta dish since I was a kid so I couldn’t really go wrong with this one!
This was spaghetti with an oil-based sauce with garlic and red chili flakes, mushrooms added. For those who don’t want heavy creams, and like to kick it up a notch in terms of heat, this is perfect.
The Mamma Rosa sauce with rigatoni and mozzarella made for such a cheesy greatness! The cheese pulls are epic on this one.
We ended off our meals with Classic and Nutella tiramisu. I love that it’s not too sweet and cleanses the palate after eating. They were so creamy and enjoyable I have been craving it since! I can’t say I love when desserts are so sweet they hurt my teeth, so tiramisu is the best thing for me.
